BlazeBalm®

In this wildfire era

BlazeBalm® protects what matters.

No water. No power. No harmful chemicals. No specialist crews.

Peace of mind — before any fire hits.

Wildfire

hectares burn yearly

BlazeBalm® is a compostable wildfire protection membrane that shields what matters before fire arrives. It can be applied from the ground by non-professionals and works without water, electricity, or specialist crews.

What is BlazeBalm®?

BlazeBalm® is a compostable wildfire protection membrane that shields what matters before fire arrives. It can be applied from the ground by non-professionals and works without water, electricity, or specialist crews.

How does BlazeBalm® work?

BlazeBalm® forms a dry protective layer over vulnerable exterior areas to reduce heat and ember exposure. It isn’t a foam, gel, or concentrate, so it doesn’t need mixing, pumps, or a water supply.

Does BlazeBalm® damage homes?

No. BlazeBalm® is non-toxic and leaves no harmful residue after use. Once removed, it biodegrades/composts naturally.

Does BlazeBalm® require water or electricity?

No. BlazeBalm® works without water or electricity—so it remains usable when water pressure drops, equipment fails, or power is lost, which is often when protection is needed most.

Do I need training?

No specialist training is needed. BlazeBalm® can be applied from the ground, so taking action isn’t dependent on a fire crew, contractors, or specialist equipment.

How is BlazeBalm® different from foams, gels, or sprays?

Foams and gels typically rely on water, pumps, mixing, and specialist application—and are often applied close to the event. BlazeBalm® is a dry, bio-based, plastic-free membrane that avoids petrochemical plastics and persistent chemical burden.

Do fireproofing and precautions still matter?

Yes. Fireproofing and sensible precautions always help—but even well-prepared homes aren’t invulnerable, and many, many properties have no wildfire protection at all. BlazeBalm® is wildfire protection—re-engineered for everyone.

Do I need to stay behind to apply BlazeBalm®?

No. Unlike foams and gels, BlazeBalm® can be applied well in advance of fire—so people can evacuate early and safely. Never delay evacuation; follow local warnings and official instructions.

How homes burn

0

embers on the wind

In wildfire, embers arrive first—riding fast, unpredictable gusts, slipping into the smallest gaps, and igniting homes in minutes. Embers have been reported as far as 17km ahead of the fire front and a property can be lost even if the main fire front never reaches it.

BlazeBalm® helps prevent ignition by blocking ember entry and shielding vulnerable surfaces. It’s a fully compostable protective membrane made from naturally flame-resistant, bio-based materials—applied from the ground, with no water, electricity, or specialist crews.

Aren’t homes lost to walls of flame?

Not usually. Wildfire rarely arrives as a single, movie-style wall of fire. Most losses begin with wind-borne embers—often well ahead of the fire.

I’ve got a fire-resistant roof—why do I need BlazeBalm®?

A roof is only one layer. Embers exploit the real-world fuels: leaf litter in gutters, wind-blown debris, decks, and tiny gaps around vents, eaves, joints, and doors. BlazeBalm® adds protection where homes most often ignite in practice.

How does BlazeBalm® stop ignition?

BlazeBalm® is bio-engineered to disrupt ignition in four complementary ways:

  • Physical barrier: blocks embers and reduces pathways into gaps and openings
  • Intumescence: expands under heat to create a protective char layer
  • Thermal management: slows heat transfer to the surface beneath
  • Chemistry: suppresses flame growth rather than feeding it
How does BlazeBalm® work?

BlazeBalm® forms a protective layer between what matters and the main ignition threats: embers, radiant heat, and spot fires. It’s applied early without water and removes cleanly, with no messy residue.

Why is BlazeBalm® different?

In too many places, people see the smoke, watch the wind, and hope help arrives in time. BlazeBalm® is built for that reality: practical protection that’s accessible, dry, compostable, and designed for early action—so more people can protect what matters, evacuate safely, and recover faster.

Loss

0

in assets (us dollars) are at risk of wildfire

The surest way to prevent a loss is to prevent ignition.

BlazeBalm® enables early action—applied by ordinary people from the ground, without water, electricity, specialist crews, or petrochemical plastics.

How is BlazeBalm® complementary to insurance?

Insurance helps rebuild after a loss; BlazeBalm® is built to reduce the chance of a loss in the first place. With cover tightening and retreating in high-risk areas, BlazeBalm® matters for the insured, under-insured, and those with no cover at all.
